Travels

London

When a friend's wedding sent us packing our bags for London, we were not mad to have an excuse to go.

Having only been once while I was on a backpacking trip in college, I knew it would be a very different experience.

London is filled with great architecture, beautiful old buildings, lush parks, kind people, an impressive food & drinks scene and coffee to boot. All wins in our book.

The ever-expanding food scene provides delicious options across the board and around the city. Forget the “bland English food” you may think of—London is full of vibrant, interesting and creative menus.

Due to a surprise (and very rare) winter storm, we spent a lot of time indoors at coffee shops, restaurants, and museums as it dumped snow outside for 4 days.

Staying in the Soho area at an AirBnb we were centrally located and never disappointed with the neighborhood energy. Although we did love spending time in the hip and artsy neighborhood of Shoreditch.

London—with all it’s magic—quickly jumped up the list of favorite cities.
